Envy...somebody's green with it

And that somebody would be one Penelope Hayes, oh wait, sorry that is now, one Penelope Schoonmaker (have to say though, what kind of name is THAT???), the girl who stole poor Henry from his beloved Diana Holland!! Here's the issue, Henry used to be engaged to Elizabeth, Diana's older sister, before Elizabeth ran off to California to be with her love Will Keller, and after they returned to New York and got (legally) married, Will was shot and killed. THEN Diana slept with Henry, which in the early 20th century, just wasn't done!! It would have RUINED Diana, and Henry couldn't have that, soooo he married Penelope who found out. So now that we are pretty much all caught up, Henry is STILL in love with Diana, who is still in love with Henry but is burning all the letters he is sending without reading them because she's angry with him, Elizabeth is grieving for Will and feels awful every time she feels the least bit happy since she is still in love with Will, Penelope is pissed because Henry won't (and hasn't gone to) "bed" her in the two months they've been married, and the real kicker is the girl who sold out Diana, Carolina Broad (little Lina Broud) is still under the watchful caring eye of an old unmarried bachelor who's health is failing. This book was AMAZING, and I LOVED it, and cannot WAIT to read the final conclusion!! After all these wonderful characters, along with Leland, the man Carolina has a hardcore crush on, Grayson Hayes, Penelope's older brother, and Henry's friend Teddy Cutting join them, the group is off to Florida!! That's where Grayson, because of Penelope, falls for Diana, Teddy expresses his true feelings for Elizabeth, and Henry comes truly clean to Penelope that he pretty much hates her. And don't forget about Lina!! She goes off with Leland and falls even harder for him!! And of course, he starts falling for her too...I have to say, I really hate Penelope, but only because I want Henry and Diana to be together, but I think because Lina screwed everything up between Henry and Diana, I think I like her less then even Penelope!! But, without further ado, overall grade...A+
