Kissed By An Angel

At first glance Kissed By An Angel by Elizabeth Chandler looked like any other book, but when I read the back cover, I knew immediately that it wasn't. Though there have been other books that involve Guardian Angels, I hadn't read any that involved "A love beyond life." Ivy and her boyfriend Tristan are in a horrible car crash, and Tristan is killed, killing Ivy's belief in Angels, even though now, Tristan is one too! He's been kept back because Ivy's in danger, except he doesn't know who or what is out to hurt her. He must complete his mission and save Ivy, but when he does and his mission is finished, won't he lose her all over again?? First published in 1998, this book follows Tristan's and Ivy's journey as they try to piece together the accident that just might not have been, and Ivy's new stepbrother, who seems to like Ivy a bit TOO much. This book is a three in one, but is still suspenseful as can be. Also, it's depressing as can be. It starts off with the accident killing Tristan, then goes back in time to show how Ivy and Tristan fell into a love that really would do anything, even die, for each other. Using the help of a deceased film star, Tristan discovers his powers that help him influence other's actions, materialize his voice and parts of his body, and maybe even save Ivy from not only her unweilding grief, but from the killer who's out to get her. Overall grade...B-
