The Everafter

This book may have been another debut novel, this one by Amy Huntley, but it was nothing but amazing. This book is unlike any other I had read. This book was absolutely amazing. An A+ doesn't even begin to cover it. Amy Huntley more then just outdoes herself with this book. Though you know from the very beginning that that Madison Stanton is dead, you don't know how, why, or anything else about her for that matter, until she goes on a trip to find all the things she's lost over her lifespan. It shows the beauty of how important the little things can be, how important things people take for granted everyday can be, whether it's a first kiss, a charm bracelet, or even physics homework, it's what happens because of these things, what happens around these things that makes this story come to life, in a way that Maddy can't anymore. This story blew me away and there is absolutely nothing that should be changed about it, from the first word to the epilogue, the story is just spun so well, so precise, that it is as close to perfect as anything can be. This story puts beauty to shame, it makes the reader appreciate more of life then ever before, and it was definitely a novel no one would be able to put down from beginning to end. The most beautiful thing about this book was Maddy's journey to find how she died. This book made me cry my eyes out for sure. This book takes you on a journey to find all the things Maddy lost throughout her life and relive them, over and over again if she wants. Though if in the end of the memory she finds something, she can never go back. The best part is when Maddy shares a memory with people she knew before she died. Though some people said it made them hopeless of the future, I think it made even more hopeful. To be able to go back through parts of life, and accept that you've died. This story is heartwarming and touching in every way. It is a wonderful book that is definitely an A+ all the way.
